Harambee, Week 1 / day 1
So I finished the first day. It wasn't very structured today, which was frustrating. The oldest kids went with Steve to set up scaffold and start grinding. I wasn't there, so I can't tell you about that. I was at the machine shop (lithco) with my track 1&2 kids, and in fact all the track 1&2 kids from all the other groups as well. It was pretty chaotic, and hard to find enough to keep the kids working. Also, with that many people there, it was hard to keep track of where my kids were at. I was the only crew leader today to give out a yellow card (Harambee discipline Yellow-warning, Red-sent home for the day) I don't feel bad about giving the card, the kid definitely needed it. I just feel bad that I had to be the first one.
that was pretty much it.
